  •  Tesla Model S, 2013

Pricing
The base price of the Tesla Model S in the US is $49,900 after available federal tax credits of $7,500. Model S customers may also qualify for state tax credits, rebates, sales tax exemptions, free parking, commuter-lane passes and other perks.

With the most energy-dense battery pack in the industry and best-in-class aerodynamics, Model S has the longest range of any production electric car in the world. Model S comes with three battery options to fit the unique needs of different drivers. The 85 kWh Model S has received a US fuel economy rating of 89 MPGe and an EPA rated range of 265 miles.

Tesla Model S is the first premium sedan designed from the ground up to take full advantage of electric vehicle architecture. A revolutionary power train sits under the floorboard of Tesla Model S, creating an ultra-low center of gravity. Paired with an aluminum body engineered for superior handling, Tesla has created a vehicle that will raise the bar for vehicle handling and efficiency while meeting the highest standards for safety.

Without an internal combustion engine or transmission tunnel, the interior of Tesla Model S has more cargo space than any other sedan in its class and includes a second trunk under the hood. Tesla Model S seats five adults and two children in optional rear-facing child seats. The Performance Model S accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 4.4 seconds. The interior features a 17" in-dash touchscreen with internet capabilities, allowing for streaming radio, web browsing and navigation.

Equipped with Tesla's advanced electric power train, Tesla Model S provides instant torque and smooth acceleration from 0-97 km/h in 4.4 seconds. The aluminum body is engineered for superior handling, safety and efficiency. With the most energy dense battery pack in the industry, and best-in-class aerodynamics, Tesla Model S has the longest range of any electric car in the world, up to 480 km on a single charge.

Tesla Motors delivered Model S, the world's first premium electric sedan, to its first customers at an invitation-only event at the Tesla Factory in Fremont, California on June 22, 2012. Deliveries of Tesla Model S in Europe and Asia will begin in early and mid-2013, respectively.

  •  Tesla Model X Prototype, 2012

The Tesla Model X is an all electric SUV scheduled for early 2014. It is equipped with unique Falcon Wing doors that open up and out of the way, allowing one to stand up in the second row and step directly to the third row. Built on the same platform as Model S, but with a longer wheelbase, Model X has approximately the same external dimensions of an Audi Q7. On the inside, however, Model X has 40% more room than a Q7 and is capable of carrying both seven large adults and considerable luggage.

It  offer dual motor all wheel drive for superior all-weather driving and the option of a 60 or 85 kWh battery. The Model X Performance version  accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds. It would make Model X faster than many sports cars, including the Porsche 911 Carrera. Matched with superior handling resulting from its low center of gravity, Model X offer a remarkable combination of functionality, style and performance.

Tesla's touchscreen, the 17" in-dash display that includes driver controls, vehicle apps, web connectivity and on board charging are included in Model X.

Model X priced competitively with other premium SUVs. It built at the Tesla Factory in Fremont, CA. Production begins at the end of 2013, deliveries begin early 2014, with volumes targeted at 10,000-15,000 units per year.

  • Tesla Roadster Sport, 2010

Tesla Motors Inc. began taking orders for the Tesla Roadster Sport, a high-performance sports car based on the world's leading all-electric, zero-emission vehicle.

The Tesla Roadster Sport does 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, compared with 3.9 seconds for the standard Tesla Roadster. It comes with a hand-wound stator and increased winding density for lower resistance and higher peak torque. In addition to Yokohama's Ultra High Performance tires, the Tesla Roadster Sport has improved suspension with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars that tuned to the driver's preference.

The Tesla Roadster Sport starts at $128,500 in the United States and €112,000 (excluding VAT) in Europe. Deliverie begin in late June 2009.

The car can beat nearly anything in its price class - yet it is twice as efficient as compact hybrid sedans.

The Tesla Roadster Sport is the first derivative of Tesla's proprietary, patented powertrain. San Carlos, Calif.-based Tesla plans to begin producing the all-electric, zero-emssion Tesla Model S five-passenger sedan in 2011.

Tesla has delivered more than 150 Roadsters to customers, and about 1,100 people are on the waiting list. Customers who haven't taken delivery may upgrade to the Tesla Roadster Sport.

The Tesla Roadster Sport embodies Tesla's spirit of continuous improvement.

Tesla Model S Concept, 2009

  •  Tesla Model S Concept, 2009

Tesla Motors is now taking orders for the Tesla Model S, an all electric family sedan that carries seven people and travels 300 miles per charge.

The Tesla Model S, which carries its charger onboard, can be recharged from any 120V, 240V or 480V outlet, with the latter taking only 45 minutes. By recharging their car while they stop for a meal, drivers can go from LA to New York in approximately the same time as a gasoline car. Moreover, the floor-mounted battery pack is designed to be changed out in less time than it takes to fill a gas tank, allowing for the possibility of battery-pack swap stations.

The floor-mounted powertrain also results in unparalleled cargo room and versatility, as the volume under the front hood becomes a second trunk. Combining that with a four-bar linkage hatchback rear trunk and flat folding rear seats, the Tesla Model S can accommodate a 50-inch television, mountain bike *and* surfboard simultaneously. This packaging efficiency gives the Tesla Model S more trunk space than any other sedan on the market and more than most SUVs.

Tesla expects to start Tesla Model S production in late 2011. The company believes it is close to receiving $350 million in federal loans to build the Tesla Model S assembly plant in California from the Dept of Energy's Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Program.

Building on Proven Technology
Tesla is the only production automaker already selling highway-capable EVs in North America or Europe. With 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, the Tesla Roadster outperforms almost all sports cars in its class yet is six times as energy efficient as gas guzzlers and delivers 244 miles per charge. Tesla has delivered nearly 300 Roadsters, and nearly 1,000 more customers are on the wait list.

Teslas do not require routine oil changes, and they have far fewer moving (and breakable) parts than internal combustion engine vehicles. They qualify for federal and state tax credits, rebates, sales tax exemptions, free parking, commuter-lane passes and other perks. Tesla Model S costs roughly $5 to drive 230 miles - a bargain even if gasoline were $1 per gallon.

The anticipated base price of the Tesla Model S is $49,900 after a federal tax credit of $7,500. The company has not released options pricing. Three battery pack choices will offer a range of 160, 230 or 300 miles per charge.

The standard Tesla Model S does 0-60 mph in under six seconds and will have an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph, with sport versions expected to achieve 0-60 mph acceleration well below five seconds. A single-speed gearbox delivers effortless acceleration and responsive handling. A 17-inch touchscreen with in-car 3G connectivity allows passengers to listen to Pandora Radio or consult Google Maps, or check their state of charge remotely from their laptop.

With a 300-mile range and 45-minute QuickCharge, the $49,900 Tesla Model S can carry five adults and two children in quiet comfort - and you can charge it from any outlet, without ever stopping for gas. World's first mass-produced electric vehicle offers performance, efficiency and unrivaled utility with twice the energy-efficiency of hybrids, making Tesla Model S the only car you'll ever need.
